Picasa Gallery now showing up

Hi,

I set up a test gallery pulling from Picasa with the CoolEye Wordpress plugin here:

But nothing is showing up. Here is the shortcode I used:

Can anyone tell by looking at the shortcode if I've left out anything or did somehthing wrong?

Audio won't stop playing on YouTube Vids

Hi,

I've just started using the CoolEye Wordpress plugin and love it but the audio won't stop playing and you have to reload the page to get it to stop. Are there any known plugins that conflict to cause this?

Hey, awesome work with the plugin. I have one suggestion. The thing is that most of my pics I upload to Phereo are in crossview format. It seems that if the swap option is not activated, images for left and right eyes are mixed. Fortunately enough Phereo offers an additional parameter when embedding photos to enable swap:

First thx for this plugin, I just set up a test WP to figure out what could be done with it.
It works perfectly and I was able to put many picts in my WP posts.
I just wasn't able to go more than 500 pixels wide, as some of my picts are much wider i tried to Notepad the 3dpix code with some 1024 but it seems that phereo doesn't do wider.

I also was able to WP post numerous 3D MPO's hosted on phereo, ans then switch them one after the other to 3dNvid' mode, cause default stereoscopics are generaly on anaglyph. same on V-interlaced.
I had a page with 4 phereo MPO's all showing in 3d mode.

that's it for my trials on WP+3dPix, I didn't know anythin' about it last week.
THx fot the "easy way".

Currently tryin' to organise WP posts with stereo albums.
Also tried the embeed phereo html code on the same wp.
Also use to try the java embeed included in strophotomaker.(not able to tune "frame buffer" to nvid'3D)

If I was to ask for anythin' I would ask for a way of switching all the 3dpix simultaneously to a given mode.(anaglyph:default/switch all to nvid" or h-interlaced)

There is another plugin for WP stereoscopics but it only has *.jps and v-interlace option, deleted.

Choose Specific Picasa Albums?

Hi I want to be able to choose specific albums from my picasa web rather than all of them to dsiplay in a cooleye page is this possible?

Picasa File Name Title Removed OR Customized Possible?

Hey Guys,

Thanks for a great Plug-In.....Probably my favorite yet. I am wondering if there is a way to not have the File Name of the photo show in the CoolEye - I have over 700+ Photos of people and I would prefer their names show when you initially put the cursor over their name. Now there is a (img_2345) that shows...Unless I change the file name and RE-Upload...which I am trying to Avoid if I can use a Short Code. The site is http://www.DailyGEMS.ca and the CoolEye can be found under GEM PHOTOS in the Menu. Thx

first of all. I am new to building websites so I am afraid I am learning at the moment. Your cooleye plugin looks great but im having problems with the one last step bit (see http://arodsinredningar.eu/?page_id=31).

I have tried to put the crossdomain file at both arodsinredningar.eu and arodsinredningar.eu/web (the second is where the index file is). But I cannot get the plugin working.

Would appreciate some help.

What are the best 3d glasses to use for 3d movies?

I just watched My Bloody Valentine 3d with the typical green and red 3d glasses. It didn't look so good ( which I expected) and I wanted to know if there are any better 3d glasses to use for these movies so that you can enjoy them. I went to imax and the 3d movie there looked nicer, I am not sure if it was the 3d glasses or just the over all quality of the movie and the glasses put together. Thanks!

Added some new functionality and killed a few bugs.

1. Support for YouTube high resolution thumbnails with the shortcode parameter ythiresthumbs=true. Also supported in the post editor.

2. Support for Picasa featured images, i.e. load your Picasa album and immediately show a selected image. Done with two new shortcode parameters: featured and featured album. Also supported in the post editor.

[coolEye search=NewYork02 how=album puser=steve243 source=picasa featured=5340579632422156210 featuredalbum=5271612473493674289]

This example displays the album "NewYork02" from user "steve243" and initially shows the featured image "5340579632422156210" from the album id "5271612473493674289" (the numerical id corresponding to the album "NewYork02".

Hi! Awesome Plugin!!!

As I want to use this plugin on a commercial site (displaying advertising), I´m not sure whether all the pictures searched by keyword should be displayed. I´m still waiting for a reply by the flickr Team if this is really not allowed. The community guidelines are not too detailed on that.

However, good that we have the creative commons licensed pictures. Is there any chance to limit the pictures (displayed by keyword) from flickr to those with a "Creative Commons-Commercial Use" license?

Featured Image

First off I would like to thank you for this awesome plugin. I have already rated it with 5 stars in Wordpress. What I would like to ask you is if there is any possible way that I can force WP or the plugin to take the first image of the gallery and set it as a featured image. I think it would be a really nice feature. Thanks in advance.

Media RSS besides flickr, youtube and picasa

This is my another issue I think a new thread is better. Sorry posting here.

I can't find any clue to create Media RSS which feeds photos and embed video flashes other than youtube locate at our own site for cooleye's on my own site after reading Yahoo's spec reconmented by CoolIris.

I installed wordpress plugin: media rss, crossdomain.xml as cooliris suggested,
and use the folowwing code:

and shows nothing after the cooliris flash finished loading. I guess my media rss feed created from that plugin is not recognized by cooliris.

Is there any guide or reference to create such feed?

Phereo Embedding Finally Fixed - 3D Pix Update 1.0.1

For a few weeks now, the Phereo embedding system has been broken at their end. Looks like they finally fixed it. You'll need to update your 3D Pix Wordpress plugin to 1.0.1 (at Wordpress.org) in order to work with Phereo's new embedding system.

The gory details:

Each Phereo image has an id number which allows the 3D Pix plugin to find and display the picture you choose. 3D Pix uses that number to build the embedding code on your WordPress page or post.

For the first few months of Phereo's existence, they used a numbering system with relatively small decimal values, like: 167, or some number less than about 2000. So... if you uploaded an image back in the old days (i.e. 2010) your image had a small number id.

At some point, the folks a Phereo realized they needed a more complex id and switched over to a long hexadecimal string, like: 4d37dbde378501ef25a80300. Recently uploaded images are assigned a unique long hex string id, but not a small number id.

Interestingly, old school uploads from 2010 have both small number and long hex ids. So... 167 and 4d37dbde378501ef25a80300 are the same picture. Since small number ids are no longer assigned, perhaps they will become a vanity badge for Phereo early adopters. Who knows!

Anyway, the 3D Pix Wordpress plugin automagically detects whether the id you've asked for is the old small number or the new long hex version, and constructs the proper embed code. Both old and new ids work equally well, assuming, of course, that you have photos with old id numbers.

Just upgrade 3D Pix and both id systems will work fine.

CoolEye and iOS (iPad/iPod/iPhone)

As you may know, CoolIris, and thus CoolEye, relies on Adobe's Flash browser add-on. Apple does not support Flash in its iOS browsers for the iPad, iPod Touch, and iPhone. However there is a CoolIris App that is available at the iTunes Store. I asked CoolIris whether they would apply this technology to the embedded CoolIris version. Here's the Q&A:

Is there any way (or plans) to get CoolIris embed working on the iPad/iPod/iPhone? The embedded CoolIris is Flash based and these devices don't support flash. I know you've got a CoolIris app for the the iOS, so the technology is there, but doesn't solve the website embedding issue.

CoolEye Version 1.1.2 Release

Have now upgraded to CoolEye 1.1.2 which includes an opacity feature (and a few other fixes.) Opacity (transparency) works with a solid color CoolEye background, either through the presets or an RGB color, but will not work with a URL background. Seems to work with all modern browsers, including IE8.

In addition to being able to make the background completely transparent, you can set it to be partially transparent, i.e. an opacity running from 0.0 (transparent) to 1.0 (opaque.) Thus opacity of 0.5 is halfway transparent.

There's a new opacity default setting in the WordPress admin panel for CoolEye, new shortcode parameter (opacity=0.4), and a new place to enter opacity on the pop-up editor in TinyMCE for CoolEye.
